Stories change, the essence remains the same. Meanings change, the words remain the same. To honor this change that happens when we listen truly and practice with dedication, I present to you the hard copy of SOMA: 100 Heritage Recipes for Self-Care
SOMA is more than just a collection of 100 recipes (remedies). It is also a workbook and a journal. As a workbook, it as an invitation to collaborate and jot down the recipes handed down to you. Make these heritage recipes your own by making changes as needed, by adding notes on what worked for you. Note down tips that you can pass down to your loved ones, as was once handed down to me.
Alongside the recipes, with the prompts and cues, it serves as a journal to contemplate upon questions concerning health, spirituality, and relationships and doodle/write that which sprouts from your mental landscape.
May we seek to enjoy an endless, ever-nurturing friendship and companionship in the nectar of SOMA: the moon, SOMA: the mother, SOMA: the book. May we see the connection from the most minute nuances of our body, breath, mind, and emotions to the universal body, prana, moon, and divine mother.
Indo sakhitvam uSmasi…Rig Veda IX.66.14
As stated in the ninth mandala of Rig Veda, may we befriend this moon, our mind.
May the SOMA book be your friend that listens when you wish to speak and when you wish to listen, shares the subtle whispers of the ancient yet perennial wisdom.
Thank you for your outpouring of love for the heritage recipes, remedies, and practices from my ancestral and Guru lineage and the autobiographical mini stories from my childhood. I am truly humbled. Go ahead, order not just for yourself but also for a loved one who will benefit from this simple, effective, and time-tested Self-Care.
